Here are some ways that YOU can get involved!
2011-12 Bond Campaign
GET-OUT-THE-VOTE Call Center
This group will be responsible to, literally, get out the vote! This group organizes the voter list, provides a script and conducts a call center to identify our positive voters. Closer to elections, this group will also conduct poll watch and conduct a follow-up call center to contact positive voters who haven’t yet voted, and urge them to vote.
Advertising Team
This team will be asked to recruit community leaders to aid in bond campaigning, or at minimum, will acquire comments to be used as quotations in bond publications or advertising. This group will also create 7-10 large informational posters that will be displayed at various sites, on a weekly rotating basis. This group will also decorate a “VOTE” school bus that will be parked at Sun Tides Market.
Public Distribution Team
This team will identify a number of highly attended school or community-related activities. For each of these activities, this team will establish a Levy/Bond informational table with voter registration available. They will utilize these events as a platform to get the community informed and involved in our campaign efforts by presenting information on a larger scale.
Speaker’s Bureau
This committee will be responsible for identifying, scheduling, and assisting in making public presentations to community groups, neighborhood associations, civic and service organizations, etc. Third party involvement is essential.
Per-Class and Pre-School Outreach
This group will consist of community members and staff that will contact parent groups and childcare centers in the area to provide them with backpack stuffers, flyers, and information to a targeted audience.
“VOTE YES” COMMITTEE
This group will meet again outside of school property. This will include continued campaign planning that will work to create momentum for the positive voters in the community. This may include but is not limited to contacting local businesses for reader board coverage, creating and distributing materials to encourage voters to VOTE YES for Naches Valley School District, and get people speaking positive about the Bond issues!
If you are interested in any of the bond campaign pieces, contact M. Lindsay Brown at mbrown@nvsd.org.
Please remember to vote this upcoming February!
